Host Paul Henry meets 19 players at an isolated lodge for a game of deception and lies to win $70,000. Soon they question everything, and everyone, as Paul secretly picks the Traitors.

The ultimate reality game of detection, backstabbing and trust, becomes very real for the players as it's revealed which of the Faithfuls has been murdered in the night by the Traitors.

Gasps of shock echo as news of the next faithful to be murdered is discovered. Host Paul Henry throws a garden party filled with challenges for the players to win money for the prize pool.

Deception, lies and betrayal are the name of the game as 22 everyday New Zealanders descend on Claremont Manor at the foot of Mt Horrible, in the hopes of winning up to $100,000.

After an unforeseen twist the Traitors band together to make a tough choice. The next morning, the players arrive at breakfast to await the news of the first murder.

The players mourn the loss of another Faithful during a controversial challenge and tensions run high resulting in a tense, nail-biting vote at the Round Table.

Armed with only their cunning, savvy and wit, 21 every day New Zealanders join brand new host Madeleine Sami for her twisted game of deceit at Claremont Manor, in the hopes of winning up to $100,000.

The game is afoot as the Traitors band together to choose their first victim, and the players awake to the murder of one of their own.

Personas are shed and cracks begin to form amongst the players as more Faithfuls are lost at the hands of the Traitors.
