Series synopsis
Daylight, also known as Dönence is a Turkish drama family television series that premiered on Kanal D on July 4, 2023. It ended on October 11, 2023. It was created by Gökhan Yıldız. It stars Emre Kınay, Caner Topçu, Sümeyye Aydoğan and Atakan Hoşgören.
Gece's dreams are put on hold when she moves to Foça to support her special needs sister. There, she meets Özgür, a sailing instructor caring for his brother with Asperger's Syndrome. As Gece learns from Özgür and embraces maturity, her relationship with her boyfriend Emir faces challenges. She must choose between pursuing true love or staying committed to her previous life.
Premise

Episode 1 Verda and Cem have two daughters, Gece and Gülce. Gülce has Asperger's syndrome. Living in a big and crowded city like Istanbul has become impossible for both Gülce and her family. On a recommendation, Verda discovers the Ata Surf Club in Foça for special children and proposes to her husband Cem to move to Foça. Because according to Verda, while her older daughter Gece will be able to stand on her own feet in the future, the same is not valid for her younger daughter Gülce. With this decision, Gece has to leave both her friends and her lover Miro. Her best friend Sera accompanies her on this journey, which Gece barely accepts. Özgür works as a sailing guide at Ata Surf Club in Foça. Özgür also has a brother named Rüzgâr, who has autism. Verda and Cem move to Foça with their daughters Gece and Gülce. This decision will cause significant changes not only in their lives but also in the lives of Özgür, Rüzgar and Gece's boyfriend, Miro. |

Episode 2 Verda and Harun pass by a ruined house and notice Cem's car. Verda thinks that she has to confront whether it was a mistake made by her husband. When she meets Cem's business partner Ufuk, a tense atmosphere develops. Meanwhile, Miro and Gece have a jealousy crisis because of Özgür. When Gece rebels against Miro and cries, it eases the tension between them. Events develop rapidly with Gülce's disappearance. Gülce goes to the bus station to join Alican and drops her phone while getting on the bus. No one can reach Gülce. |
