Series synopsis
Dinotopia is an American action & adventure family sci-fi & fantasy television series that premiered on ABC on November 28, 2002. It ended on August 17, 2003. It was created by James Gurney. It stars Erik von Detten, Shiloh Strong, Michael Brandon and Omid Djalili.
Frank Scott, a wealthy American, crashes his plane into the Caribbean. His two teenaged sons, Karl and David, survive, only to find themselves castaways on Dinotopia. Karl and David are constantly at odds, even as they struggle to adjust to life in their strange new world where talking dinosaurs live side by side in an uneasy alliance with humans.
Premise

Discovering Dinotopia Designed to generate awareness and interest among younger viewers in ABC's "Dinotopia". Hosting the program from Dinotopia and using footage from the series, David Scott leads viewers through the visual detail, history, culture, and everyday happenings of Dinotopia. Dinotopia is treated as an absolutely real place. Zippo, noted saurian scholar and librarian, also periodically joins the program as the host of 15 to 30-second "Dino-Newsbreaks". During these sudden breaks in the show, Zippo brings us stories from all parts of Dinotopia. |
