Series synopsis
Starship Operators, also known as スターシップ・オペレーターズ is a Japanese animation drama drama action & adventure television series that premiered on TV Tokyo on January 5, 2005. It ended on March 30, 2005. It was created by Ryo Mizuno. It stars Satomi Arai, Ayako Kawasumi, Masumi Asano and Mamiko Noto.
For the 73rd class of cadets of the Defense University of the small planet Kibi, a maiden voyage on the new warship Amaterasu is a fitting event just before graduation. As they are returning home, however, they are shocked to hear news of a declaration of war by the aggressive Kingdom of Henrietta against Kibi.
When the Kibi government surrenders without a struggle, the cadets decide to fight back using the Amaterasu, with funding from the Galaxy News Network. The only stipulation? Exclusive ai ...
Premise
For the 73rd class of cadets of the Defense University of the small planet Kibi, a maiden voyage on the new warship Amaterasu is a fitting event just before graduation. As they are returning home, however, they are shocked to hear news of a declaration of war by the aggressive Kingdom of Henrietta against Kibi.
When the Kibi government surrenders without a struggle, the cadets decide to fight back using the Amaterasu, with funding from the Galaxy News Network. The only stipulation? Exclusive airing rights to the action and good ratings. So, the cadets find themselves the "stars" of their own reality show.

Trafalgar Crisis Former Kibi Prime Minister Tatsuma Mamiya boards the Amaterasu to establish the ship as a government-in-exile. However, the Amaterasu is forced to warp to neutral planet Phoenicia by enemy ships and Kibi fighters. Not long after they flee, the Kingdom warship Trafalgar challenges them to a fight. |
