Series synopsis
Namhan Mountain Castle, also known as 남한산성 is a South Korean drama television series that premiered on MBC on November 3, 1986. It ended on January 27, 1987. It stars Im Moon Soo, Kim Do-yeon, Shin Choong Shik and Yu In-chon.
The seventh of the 500 Years of Joseon Dynasty series deals with the reigns of Injo, Hyojong and Hyeonjong in the 17th Century. The period in which Injo ruled was marked by General Yi Gwal's rebellion, the two invasions by the Manchu, and subsequent breakdown of the economy. His successors, Hyojong and Hyeonjong, spent most of their time on the throne attempting to restore the kingdom.
