Scene of the Crime, also known as Tatort is a drama crime television series that premiered on ORF 1 on November 29, 1970. It stars Sibel Kekilli, Manfred Krug, Ulrike Folkerts and Axel Prahl.

Customs investigator Kressin returns from a Mediterranean cruise. Shortly before Hamburg, tour guide Ben Canitz behaves suspiciously.
The next morning, Kressin reads in the newspaper that Canitz has been found dead in a canal in Hamburg. He gets involved in the police investigation and comes across a gang that is smuggling large quantities of drugs into Germany.

A man collapses in Beethovenstrasse. His murderer flees. The dead man, a private detective from New York, was on the trail of an international blackmail ring.
Supported by customs investigator Kressin, Sandy, the dead man's partner, takes over the case. He manages to sneak into the blackmail ring. But the turbulence of the Cologne carnival makes the case more and more confusing, inscrutable and ultimately ends in a dark, bloody nightmare.
