Premise

After Shen Xiangjin became an orphan, she was taken in by Prince Ning Zhou and became his shadow guard. She mistook his protection for deep affection and devoted everything she had to him. One year after Shen Xiangjin became Ning Zhou's lover, he announced to her his impending marriage to his betrothed, Su Wanwan.

During the ten days leading up to the wedding, Shen Xiangjin suffered humiliation at the hands of Su Wanwan while Ning Zhou watched on coldly. On the eve of their wedding, the jealous Su Wanwan made Ning Zhou give Shen Xiangjin to another man as a gift. Heartbroken, Shen Xiangjin left her post as a shadow guard of the Prince's Manor and vanished from Ning Zhou's world. After assuming a new identity, she uncovers her family's tragic past, takes revenge, and finds love along the way.
