Mirror, Mirror II is an Australian action & adventure family sci-fi & fantasy drama television series that premiered on Nine Network on October 11, 1997. It ended on March 20, 1998. It was created by Hilary Bell, Posie Graeme-Evans. It stars Simon James, Ben Revell, Antonia Prebble and Jovita Shaw.
Two families - De Lutrelles and McFarlanes. They both live in the same house, but 130 years apart in time. De Lutrelle's: father Gervaise, mother Violette and daughter Constance. In their age, around the house were goldfields. Family emigrated from France with the remnants of their wealth, and hoping to find gold so they would restore their fortunes. Premise
Two families - De Lutrelles and McFarlanes. They both live in the same house, but 130 years apart in time. De Lutrelle's: father Gervaise, mother Violette and daughter Constance. In their age, around the house were goldfields. Family emigrated from France with the remnants of their wealth, and hoping to find gold so they would restore their fortunes. McFarlan's: father Doug, mother Jenny who decided to get in a new business: eco-tourism. Guests will stay with Doug and his family - second wife Jenny, stepson Fergus, daughter Mandy, and sister-in-law Lily, who maked troubles wherever she goes! Doug has also another son, Daniel. When the series begins, Daniel decides he wants to meet the father who left him and his mother Caroline when he was just a baby. He invites himself to stay for the holidays and, with the help of the mirror, he changes everyone's life, his own included.

Arrival The mirror appears in an attic in the country. Daniel is on his way to met his father, step-brother Fergus and half-sister Mandy for the first time. The reception that he receieves is less than welcoming. After Mandy gets upsets and runs to the attic, Daniel follows her, in the reflection of the mirror he sees a girl. Mandy gets in the way and they inadvertantly go through to the year 1867. They get back only, later on, for Mandy and Lily become trapped and they spend the night in the du Lutrelle barn before the mirror is knocked back into alignment. |

Gold Aunty Lily decides to go through the mirror to try and steal the crown that the de Lutrelle family keeps hidden. Fergus goes through the mirror to try and help Constance, but gets side-tracked by the gold-fields. He trades a pocket knife for a land lease with one of the miners. After Lily's attempt to steal the crown is thwarted by Daniel and Constance, she moves the mirror when she returns through, with both Daniel and Fergus trapped. |

Trapped Fergus continues working on the gold fields, while Daniel tries to find a way to help Constance. After Constance's father kicks Daniel out of the house he hides in the barn until all is clear again. Fergus lands himself in trouble with other miners and is rescue by Constance's father. Aunty Lily continues to cover up about where the boys are. After Lily replaces the mirror and goes through to snatch the crown out of Daniel's hands they struggle sending Constance and Daniel through the mirror and leaving Lily behind. Only to then realise that the mirror is cracked in several places. |
