Series synopsis
The Take is a British action & adventure drama television series that premiered on Sky One on June 17, 2009. It ended on July 1, 2009. It was created by Martina Cole. It stars Shaun Evans, Tom Hardy, Charlotte Riley and Kierston Wareing.
Freddie Jackson is released from prison in 1984 having served a four-year sentence for armed robbery. His wife Jackie, who has been waiting for him on the outside in the mistaken belief that that he wants to go straight, soon finds herself disappointed: Freddie is in fact raring to get back into the game and has set his sights on becoming top dog in the East End underworld.
Premise

Episode Two The drama moves on three years to 1988, and the new rave culture promises opportunities for the Jacksons as a market for ecstasy emerges. Ozzy sends the cousins to meet a rave organiser in Hackney, and Jimmy sees the opportunity to make a deal with drug lord Des. However, the partnership is threatened when an increasingly erratic Freddie flies into a rage, and his fall from grace begins. |
