Series synopsis
Cupid Stupid, also known as 戀愛星求人 is a comedy television series that premiered on TVB Jade on January 25, 2010. It ended on February 19, 2010. It was created by Yuk-On Tsui. It stars Steven Ma Chun-Wai, Tavia Yeung, Michael Tse Tin-Wah and Mandy Lee Cho.
How would one's horoscope be interpreted and affect one's love life? A simple note that reads "Getting to meet the most important person in your life" is strong enough to draw fishmonger CHI YAT PO (Steven Ma), toy shop assistant KAN NGO LAM (Tavia Yeung) and toy designer KOON SING HO (Michael Tse) into a torrid love triangle. Premise
How would one's horoscope be interpreted and affect one's love life? A simple note that reads "Getting to meet the most important person in your life" is strong enough to draw fishmonger CHI YAT PO (Steven Ma), toy shop assistant KAN NGO LAM (Tavia Yeung) and toy designer KOON SING HO (Michael Tse) into a torrid love triangle. When making their way out of the maze, the three of them begin tohesitate. Can one's love life really be predicted? Unlike his childhood friend LAM, PO does not believe in horoscopes. But this does not affect their friendship at all and they are even closer than ever. PO is held up to ridicule while trying to save LAM from her lovelorn woe. Believing that PO is her Mr. Right, LAM seeks every opportunity to express her love for him. Sadly PO has realized this too late, and LAM is already going out with HO, with whom she is very compatible in terms of star signs, personalities and interests. HO's ex-girlfriend FONG CHEUK KEI (Mandy Cho) cannot bear to part from the man, forcing LAM to give up on the relationship reluctantly. During this most difficult time, PO has once again stood by LAM with tender loving care. As time goes by, the pair has gradually developed a genuine affection for each other. All of a sudden, HO turns up and asks to get back with LAM. To LAM, HO is a dream while PO helps keep her feet on the ground. Who is she going to stay with in the end?

Episode 1 Famous toy designer KOON SING HO is very interested in horoscope. He gets a note from a horoscope forecast machine in a shopping mall saying that he will meet the most important person in his life today. Coincidentally, KAN NGO LAM, toy shop assistant who is just transferred to a branch shop there, also gets the same note from the machine. HO returns to the office and his colleague CHUNG KIN BONG from the engineering department chases him for a toy design. HO doesn’t take it seriously and BONG is very upset. HO and LAM meet each other while playing with some kids at the shopping mall. LAM shows HO the way to buy a very precious iron sheet toy robot that is no longer available in most places. HO meets the fishmonger CHI YAT PO at the market. PO plays shuttlecock very well and HO joins in. However, HO accidentally hurts LAM’s father KAN WING TSUNG who is gambling at the market…… |

Episode 2 PO’s aunt CHI KAM KIU used to have a husband LEUNG PING who gambles and visits the prostitutes habitually. After getting divorced with him, they still live in the same house but they use wire meshes to separate their living spaces. PO finds that they treat each other like strangers so he persuades KIU to sell the house. LAM goes shopping with her good friend WONG MEI KUEN and she meets her classmate SAMANTHA. KUEN finds SAMANTHA very arrogant and she tells her that LAM has got a very strong and charming boyfriend who works in the insurance field. LAM is worried. HO asks PO to teach him playing shuttlecock. He also suggests PO to pretend that he is LAM’s boyfriend in her classmates gathering. KIU discovers that PING sneaks into her “zone” to take showers and eat her food. She scolds PING but PING ignores her. After dressing up, LAM finds PO really charming. PO attends LAM’s classmates gathering and he makes a fool of SAMANTHA…… |

Episode 3 TSUNG doesn’t want them to be together. LAM tries to persuade TSUNG by telling him all the good qualities of PO. SAMANTHA realizes that PO works as a fishmonger. BONG brings his boss CHIU WANG KEI to the toyshop to look for HO. He blames HO for running away from work but HO shows him his design drafts. He requests to look for another assistant whose zodiac sign is Aries. LAM is worried to hear this. PO invites HO, KEI and LAM to a seafood gathering at the fish steak. He recommends LAM to be HO’s assistant and he lies to HO that LAM’s zodiac sign is Aries. HO takes his suggestion happily. LAM is both happy and worried. BONG objects to hire LAM as an assistant designer for she doesn’t have relevant academic qualifications. HO suggests LAM to be a voluntary worker first. He plays tricks to make WANG KEI believe that LAM is very talented and WANG KEI eventually agrees to hire LAM…… |
