Multiple battles show the steadiness of the Polish defenders, in contrast to the common narrative about the Polish defence. One of these Battles is the Battle of Wizna, where a Polish defensive force managed to hold off a much larger German army for several days. |

Blood of Bannockburn – War of Scottish Independence Sabatons song Blood of Bannockburn is about the First War of Scottish Independence and one of it's key figures, Robert the Bruce. He fought the English King Edward who invaded Scotland when Bruces revolutionary force forced all Scottish nobles to join his cause or lose their lands. Edward moved on Bruces army while they were besieging Stirling Castle, but his plans to overwhelm the Scottish was opposed by Bruce. |
