Series synopsis
The New Squad, also known as La nuova squadra is an Italian crime drama mystery action & adventure television series that premiered on Rai 3 on March 12, 2008. It ended on March 18, 2011. It stars Elaine Bonsangue, Rolando Ravello, Pietro Taricone and Lisa Galantini.
In the heart of Naples, the Spaccanapoli Police Station is established to combat crime in the most affected areas. It is led by Deputy Commissioner Paola Ricci, a law-abiding officer who often clashes with Sergio Vitale, the impulsive and direct leader of the "Falchi" (Falchi). The Squad must confront crime but also its own vulnerabilities.

Ciro De Rosa Was a Hero / One Centimeter at a Time The new Spaccanapoli Police Station is being inaugurated on the site of a former drug dealing hub, the same site where Officer Ciro De Rosa was killed by the Camorra. Vitale, caught by Ricci in the hideout of De Rosa's killer, claims he doesn't know the Camorra member's identity and that he arrived there by chance, following the directions of an informant. The deputy commissioner doubts his sincerity. |

With My Informants / There's Always Another Way Deputy Commissioner Paola Ricci hunts down Vitale's informants to determine whether the inspector actually received a tip from one of them that led him accidentally to the crime boss Bruno Sannino, the murderer of police officer De Rosa. Ricci, increasingly intent on restoring order and legality to the neighborhood, organizes a raid on the market and extensive checks throughout the area. The operation, however, interrupts Vitale's investigation, and he decides to act alone. Francesco Silla, a new member of the Falcons, feels marginalized but finds support in Battiston and Sciacca. |

How Much Does a Child Cost / My Father's Gun After discovering that Vitale had been secretly investigating the murder of police officer Ciro De Rosa, Deputy Commissioner Paola Ricci decides to intervene: she forces Chief Inspector De Falchi and Sorrentino to don their uniforms and assigns them the task of promoting the new online reporting booth. In the historic center, a tourist is mugged in front of Vicky and Silla, who give chase. During their escape, the thief manages to steal Vicky's gun, which belonged to her father, Ciro, an object of great sentimental value, received on her first day on duty. |

The Spaccanapoli officers discover that the explosion at the Profeta house was the work of Luciano Babà, who has defected to a new boss, 'o Cafone. Lucia wants revenge and asks Coppola to hand him over to her. Meanwhile, the detective investigates an abandoned newborn baby and a failed robbery. During a check, Marciano and Coppola find Luana Moselli, a showgirl with bruises and a confused state. Persuaded by Sciacca and Ciccone, she reports her attackers, who, however, maintain their innocence. Meanwhile, the Hawks monitor the neighborhood, where Malinconico's blue drug is spreading. Vitale hires Gabriele as a bouncer at a nightclub frequented by drug dealers; there, Gabriel discovers the blue drug and confides in Vicky, his secret companion. |
