There is a terrible murder case in this strange society. The victim was chopped into pieces.The victim was chopped into pieces without the head and the abdomen. It is difficult to recognize its identity. Sergeant CHEUNG TAI YUNG and cop LEE CHUNG YEE are responsible for this difficult case. The coroner KONG YU HIM draws a conclusion according to the finger characteristics and believes that the victim is a thirty—years old nurse, LEE MAN FONG, wife of businessman CHOW CHUN KIT. The police starts a thorough investigation. They suspect three persons : Mr. CHOW, FONG’s lover Dr. CHOW and Mr. CHOW's mistress, DAISY. The motive for the murder is either sentimental factor, regarding money or for revenge. What is the truth?

The police proves that the victim is actually not LEE MAN FONG. HIN is neglectful of his job. The police finds out that KIT is in financial difficulty. He and his wife set up a plot to cheat the caution money. Unexpectedly, he indirectly puts his wife to death. YUNG finds out that the victim is actually, CHAN CHOI LING, also thirty-two years old. She was killed by KIT and his wife. Meanwhile, FONG’s dead body is found. There is KIT's finger—print on the murderous weapon. KIT then becomes one of the suspect. The police finds out that KIT is not the real murderer after thorough investigation. In fact, DAISY had followed KIT. She found that KIT's wife was still alive. She was very jealous as KIT had cheated her. She then killed KIT's wife.

Heaven's vengeance is slow but sure. The police report finds that DAISY's watch was stained with FONG’s blood. DAISY knows that she has failed to conceal the truth. She confesses that she is the murderer. The case is eventually cleared.YUNG's girlfriend KO GIT (reporter of the Fax Truth Magazine). She had once reported a case regarding drug dealing at TSE WAN SHAN. A drug addict, CHEUNG, threatens GIT a few times. YUNG warns CHEUNG not to bother GIT. GIT could then get rid of the trouble. GIT likes YUNG more after this incident.YEE and YE go to he Lobster Bay flying kite. One the way they hear a man shouting for help. They hurry to the spot and find that the man is pierced by an arrow. He is bleeding terribly. The man tells them that he was shot by the ‘Angel’ before he died.

Three cases of rape-and-murder have occurred recently. The three victim were strangled to death by the killer and neither finger- prints nor sperms can be found. The police force set up a special team to handle the case. MAN is transferred to YUNG's team to give him a helping hand. YI also returns after his vacation. YUNG finds that the three victims uses the perfume “Envy”. It has special scent and is not popular. Few customers use it. Incidentally YUNG discovers that CHIT's uncle WAI had taken photographs of the three victims in his studio before the tragedies occurred. WAI is suspected. They keep an eye on WAI and finds that he courts DAISY. They go to a hotel and after thirty minutes. the girl screams for help.

It is find that WAI and DAISY quarrel as they cannot compromise with the price involved in the filthy transaction. YUNG also finds that WAI's behavior is different from that of the murderer. However a witness recognizes that WAI was with the third victim before being killed. WAI admits that that night he escorted her home but after that he returned to his studio. As there is no one proving' WAI's statement, he cannot prove that he is innocent. WAI’s counsel KIT and four waiters claim that WEI was in the coffee shop of a hotel and he wore an orange jacket. As the jacket has been sent to a laundry, KIT's statement is not accepted. In fact WRI tries to hide the truth as his filthy relationship with the owner of the hotel may be disclosed. The fourth case occurs and ADA is the victim. Luckily ADA regains her consciousness.

ADA reports that she was attacked by the sex maniac from behind and she fainted. YUNG gets an idea and they narrow down their scope of investigation to doctors and YUNG- finds that doctors have more chances to be close to their patients. After checking it is discovered that all the four victims were clients of St. Peter's Clinic. SUT, MING and CHAI are suspected as they' are doctors there. MAN is instructed to go to the clinic to bait the real murderer with “Envy”. She takes refuge in a unit being protected by the police. The killer arrives but is frightened by the alarm of the life which is out of order. YUNG sees the car of the villain and they focus on SUT and CHAI as they have the car of the similar style. It is found that SUT had bought a bottle of “Envy” near MAN’s unit and then he disappeared. It is rather certain that SUT is the sex maniac as the four victims’ records are found in his house.… ...

After losing part of her memory, KO CHIT left CHEUNG TAI YUNG and started her new life alone in Canada. YUNG goes to find CHIT but in vain as she has started off to Beijing to organize an interview. CHIT stays in Hong Kong and visits the psychologist who gave her treatment in the past. As he has retired, CHIT seeks treatment from HO CHI WANG. YUNG secretly follows CHIT to Beijing. On the plane, a man named LAW TO FUNG claims that he is CHIT's friend. CHIT thinks that he is her former friend but she cannot recall him as she has lost part of her memory. LI CHUNG YI arrives and informs YUNG that SHEK SIU WAI is blackmailed. YUNG goes to the police station with them. CHIT has made an appointment to interview Professor CHEUNG. The appointment has to be postponed as Professor CHEUNG does not have time. The gangster blackmailing WAI does not turn up. However YUNG and KIU CHUN are aware that a lady is connected to the case.… ...

YUNG brings CHIT to the police to report the theft. However CHIT is frightened. In the third transaction, NAM CHING is arrested. She states that she works with WONG HO SANG in WAI's case. However they cannot find DSANG as SANG is dead. CHUN finds the letter left by LING SIN WA and suspects that she is involved in SANG's death. YUNG meets FUK CHIU HUNG, who is CHUN's mother. As CHUN indulges in his work and neglects his wife KEUNG YEUNG, HUNG is discontented. CHIT suggests to break up with YUNG immediately when they arrive at Hong Kong. Her sister KO MAN suggests her to think over it carefully but is in vain. YUNG does not understand what has happened. He chases after CHIT and by mistake he hurts her leg. In the hospital MAN states that the X-ray film is not CHIT's as CHIT was hurt and screws should be found in her leg bones. Later MAN is knocked down by a car and is on the brink of death. It is a set up instead of an accident.… ...

YUNG questions CHIT but he is lurked. He faints and luckily he is saved by YI. When he regains his consciousness, he rushes back to Beijing where he finds the real CHIT is hospital. CHIT can only recalls that she hurt SANG when he wanted to rape her. She can remember nothing fatter then. The police accuse CHIT having killed SANG and do not allow YUNG to visit her. As YUNG can do nothing to help her, he is angry. Later YUNG seeks help from YU who is a green-handed lawyer.
