Caillou's Check-Up Calling Dr.

Caillou is having fun being noisy, but his Mommy asks him to be quiet. All of a sudden he feels hungry, so he goes off to the kitchen -- where he gets the idea to make some cookies. Only instead of making cookies, he makes a great big gooey, sweet and delicious mess!

Caillou is afraid. He’s afraid of Mr. Hinkle, the kind man who lives next door. He is even afraid of Mr. Hinkle’s house! So when Mr. Hinkle comes to visit to say how sorry he is that Caillou is afraid, Caillou runs away. But it quickly turns into a game of hide and seek and when playtime is over Caillou has made a new friend.

Caillou really hates vegetables until he goes for a walk in the park with his Grandpa, who shows him all kinds of interesting animals and birds. All this activity makes them hungry—as hungry as bears! So when it’s suppertime, they eat just like bears, pretending their vegetables are berries, (leaving just enough room for cookies, of course).

Caillou and the family are at Grandma & Grandpa's for an evening corn roast. Everyone marvels at the night sky full of stars--which gives Grandpa the perfect opportunity to bring out his telescope & introduce Caillou to the constellations, planets and the moon.

The house wakes up late, and that means it's a mad rush to get Mommy off to work. Later, when Caillou goes for a walk with Daddy he meets all kinds of people doing all kinds of jobs--and he gets to try being a mailman, a sanitation engineer and a policeman for himself. The best part? When he makes the lights and siren goes off in the police car!

It's time for Gilbert's annual visit to the vet. Gilbert instinctively knows where he's heading. He hates riding in the car, so Caillou does his best to comfort him--with near-disastrous results! Things only get worse when Gilbert confronts a dog in the waiting room. The vet suggests that Caillou help comfort Gilbert when he gets his shot. That wasn't so bad, was it? MEOW!

Leo comes over to play at Caillou’s house. They have fun pretending to be bears until Sarah shows up wearing a GY (white Karate outfit). Dad had promised to drive her to her Karate lesson. Sarah introduces Caillou and Leo to Karate and demonstrates a few moves. While she is at her class, the boys have their own pretend Karate game. When Sarah comes back, she gives another lesson to the whole family.

Daddy has a list of things to do around the house. However, the list soon disappears thanks to Gilbert who has decided to take off with it. Mom and Rosie go to the store, Caillou stays at home with his Daddy, and has a lot of fun imitating him and helping him with the chores Dad remembers from the missing list.

Caillou wants to play with his animal cards but they have disappeared. A search soon reveals that Rosie has been playing with them, scattering them around the house. Caillou’s new mission: to find them! So Caillou and Rosie head out on a safari, working together to find the animal cards.

Gilbert has gone missing and Caillou is very concerned. A search of the neighbourhood and the local animal shelter turns up nothing. Caillou thinks about what it would be like to have other kinds of pets, but concludes that Gilbert is the perfect pet and he wants him back! Luckily when they return home Gilbert is waiting for them on the porch.

After a day in the park and a visit to an ice cream parlour with Jeffrey and Jason, Caillou realizes that he has misplaced his new toy car. Mom encourages him to remember where he saw it last. The last place Caillou remembers having it is in the ice cream parlour. When they return Caillou is happy to find that the waitress has his missing car!

Caillou learns all about the jungle at playschool, and decides it would be an exciting place for a game of hide and seek. The other children join in - Leo hides, and the others pretend to be birds, snakes, monkeys and even a lion. Caillou follows the clues until he finally finds Leo, and the brave explorer is happy to see his friend.

Caillou inadvertently brings a cricket in the house and decides itll be fun to keep it as a pet. When the cricket gets loose and Caillou goes on a wild-cricket hunt, hes suddenly able to see things from the crickets perspective... and decides to put the cricket back outside where it belongs.

When Sarah gets a new dog, Caillou is actually a little jealous. All Sarah wants to do is play with her new pup! Caillou feels a little annoyed with the dog... until he dog-sits for an afternoon and realizes Sarahs dog is actually pretty great. He and Sarah talk about their feelings, and they decide itd be fun for all of them to play together.

After looking at a spider alien comic book with his older pal, Andre, Caillou feels afraid of real spiders. Hes nervous around the house, until Daddy tells him some spider facts and shows him how cool spiders can really be... and Caillou has to agree; they ARE pretty cool!
