TeleEncyclopedia, also known as TeleEnciclopedia is a documentary television series that premiered on TVR 1 on May 22, 1965. It was created by Alexandru Marinescu, Adela Mărculescu, Traian Stănescu, Florian Pittiș, Dinu Ianculescu, Petru Mărgineanu, Silviu Stănculescu, Lucia Mureșan, Mariana Zaharescu, Irina Petrescu, Sanda Taranu, Ion Caramitru. It stars Sandu Mihai Gruia, Carmen Movileanu and Mircea Neacşa.
Since 1965, when it was launched by Octavian Paler on Romanian Television, TeleEncyclopedia has "illuminated" the communist era for many Romanians. It was a magical show, airing every Saturday at 7:00 PM. Today, it still evokes nostalgia in those who grew up watching it.
