Street Fighter II: V

An evil crime syndicate known as Shadow Law is trying to gather the greatest street fighters in the world in order to to ensure the security of their presidential candidate who may win the next American election. The leader of Shadow Law is none other than the powerful Mr. Bison. Through psychic manipulation, he is able to force people to do his bidding. Little does street fighter Ryu know that Bison is after him, because of his extraordinary fighting abilities. Meanwhile Interpol and the American Military are trying to devise a plan to destroy Shadow Law.

A black cloud hangs over Ken and Ryu's reunion. Brought together by the mysterious death of their master, the two warriors must overcome a challenge unlike any they've faced before. Increasingly disturbed by the dark energies building within him, Ryu is unexpectedly confronted with the appearance of Shun - a boy claiming to be the long-lost brother he never knew. Soon, signs of their common lineage are revealed as Shun enters a martial arts competition and manifests the same fearsome Dark Hadou. But before Ryu has the chance to consider whether Shun's timely appearance might be more than coincidental, agents of the insidious Shadowlaw organization kidnap the boy. To recover the child, Ryu must undertake the ultimate journey of self-discovery and learn to control the power threatening to consume him. But with this confidence waning, will he have what it takes to confront Akuma - the vicious lord of the Dark Hadou himself? When Ryu returns to pay homage to his deceased mentor, Gouken, he is tormented by disturbing memories of his master's killer. In a quest to become a true martial arts master, Ryu sets out to hone his street fighting skills and to deliver himself from the haunting legacy of the Dark Hadou. But the ultimate test of his new power can only be accomplished through one last fateful confrontation with his arch-nemesis, Gouki.

Ryu receives an unexpected letter from his best friend Ken Masters, inviting him to America. Ryu decides to accept and meets in San Francisco with his old friend. After catching up, they go to a pub, where they find and easily beat up some military thugs. Afterward, the leader of the thugs, Sergeant Guile, enters the bar.

Guile and Ryu fight each other, though it is obvious Guile has the upper hand. The sergeant easily overpowers Ryu, and then leaves the bar with his men, telling Ryu that he has guts. Ken takes Ryu home, then fights Guile at the Air Force Base in San Francisco, badly losing as well. This double defeat motivates the two boys to travel to Hong Kong in hopes of improving their fighting skills.

Ryu and Ken convince their young tour guide, Chun Li, to follow them to the Devil's Battle Cage in Kowloon Palace. Once there, Ryu enters the illegal martial arts tournament, easily defeating all his rivals, much to the chagrin of the Palace's boss, who orders to kill them on sight.
