ICAC Investigators

The police had detected a China-Hongkong armed robbery. They suspected PANG was in league with the staff of the Customs and asked ICAC to investigate. TIN sent AU and STEVE to follow PANG and discovered that he was handling the stolen cars business. PANG bribed NAM to let his lorry which carried expensive cars to pass the Customs at Man Kam Road into the Mainland. CHEUK lost several hundred thousands in speculation. He was bought over by PANG and promised to join their smuggling activities. ICAC investigated that PANG and CHEUK were using the paging code to communicate. After detailed analysis, they got the lorry's license number plates and the working schedule. ICAC and the police set up everything in order to defeat this overland smuggling group

HAN reported to ICAC that somebody tried to bribe her and thought there might be corruption in the department. After preliminary investigation, ICAC suspected HAN's colleague YIU and the architectural assistant PAN. CHING was sent to be the undercover agent. In the ferry, HAN met CHIU and they fell in love at the first sight. CHING pretended to have owned a great amount of debt and needed money urgently. She got the trust from YIU and YUEN and had forty thousand dollars at the first time. YAM asked YING to record the bank deposit receipt. YAM requested the TELA management to transfer CHING to another post where she had a larger scope of authorization. Then CHING demanded an increase in the bribes so as to force HUNG to come out and bargain. ICAC prepared well so as to get enough evidence to arrest HUNG. And CHING went to Cheung Chau to arrest the group leader CHIU.

Urban Councillor TSUN and his wife happened to meet the retired principal CHEUNG when they enjoyed the instrumental performance of their daughter SHAN. Meanwhile, another Legislative Councillor KUNG arrived and received warm welcome which TSUN desired. TSUN's project was being taken away by Legislative Councillor KWAN and he was blamed by the neighbours for the problem of deserted land. Therefore, he made up his mind to participate in the election of Legislative Councillor. CHEUNG advised TSUN to spend money of providing benefit to District Board members CHUNG, KIT and CHAU for striving more votes. He also bribed CHEUNG with an expensive car. All these things had been recorded by ICAC. As a result, TSUN had won the election. However, ICAC had got enough evidence to arrest him .

The Correctional Services Officer WONG YUE YAN is suspected to have taken bribes and ICAC investigator SUNNY is carrying out investigation on the pretty newsstand owner HO MEI YAN. YAN is the lover of a triad society member CHEUNG CHUN HUNG but HUNG suddenly disappeared a few years ago. Later, YAN learns from other triad society members that HUNG is imprisoned and they ask her to visit him. On the other hand, YUE has been accepting bribes from the prisoners to assist them in committing trafficking. YUE is fond of YAN and he even helps her to deliver her naked photos to the prison. YUE’s latest task is to help HUNG trafficking contraband into the prison…

ICAC Chief Investigator POON CHIN KEI finds that the investigation on CHIN HO TUNG, Senior Superintendent of the Narcotics Bureau, is the most remarkable experience in his working history. TUNG is a very successful and reputable senior inspector in the police force. However, ICAC receives complaints about him and starts investigation. They discover that TUNG has been accepting benefits from Senior Inspector WU CHUN WAH, WAH’s wife CHOI YUE who operates a pub and a triad society member HAK CHAI MING. By harboring vice establishments, TUNG receives free meals and free prostitute services. KEI tries to convince the prostitute who offered service to TUNG to speak the truth in the court…

ICAC Senior investigator KAN KA YUE is carrying out investigation on WONG LEI WAH, a famous and wealthy property developer. WAH invites the famous Barrister NORA CHENG to defend for him and CHENG has been taking the lead in the trial… ICAC had carried out investigation on WAH many years ago. During the time, WAH teaches a mainland trader SO LAI MAN to give fake evidence in court so that she could be released. WAH’s tricks were being discovered but he had successfully escaped from the prosecution. ICAC discovers that the bank has been offering unreasonably large amount of loans to WAH’s subsidiaries. They therefore carry out investigation on the bank officers WU KWOK TONG and SIN CHI TONG. WAH is eventually arrested and his case will be sentenced in the court…

MA YAT MING (Bowie Lam) gangs up with his wife LAM BUI KEI (Kristal Tin), who is the chairman of a publicly listed company, stock analyst WONG HOI (Choi Tsz Kin) and investment fund manager HO LAI MAN (Vivien Yeo) to engage in financial fraud and stock price manipulation. KEI manages to flee from Hong Kong in the midst of ICAC’s investigation but decides to come back upon discovering the affair between MING and MAN. Fearing that KEI will sooner or later turn herself in, MING is planning on killing her. CHUEN’s husband TSANG WING KIN (Kwok Ching Hung) has an urgent need for money. To help the couple out of their financial difficulties, RAINY bribes ZOE’s boyfriend LEE CHI LUN (Raymond Cho),who works for the Urban Renewal Authority, to disclose classified information about certain redevelopment projects so that they can purchase in advance the properties scheduled for demolition and receive compensation from the Authority later on. CHAN CHUNG MAN (Tang Siu Chuen) takes out a life insurance policy for his younger sister who resides in mainland China, and treats himself as the designated beneficiary. Three months later, he asks for compensation claiming that his sister was killed by lightning and that her body was cremated and buried subsequently. Suspecting that this is a fraudulent claim devised by MAN and broker HO KWOK MING (Cheng Tse Sing), the insurance company refers the case to ICAC. Preliminary investigations reveal that all the supporting documents provided by MAN are real and valid. But Investigator HUI KEI SHAN (Fiona Sit) soon discovers a new clue with her acute powers of observation…
