The Criminal Investigator, also known as O記實錄 is a action & adventure drama television series that premiered on TVB Jade on July 3, 1995. It ended on December 6, 1996. It stars Sunny Chan Kam-Hung, Gigi Lai Chi, Kenix Kwok Ho-Ying and Felix Wong Yat-Wah.

Episode 1 ONG CHI CHUNG is originally a police with uniform. He is being transferred to the O Section(Criminal Organization and Triad Investigation Section), He always works alone and does not follow the normal procedure, Thus, his superior deliberately sends LAM WING TAI to work as his partner, YEUNG SIU HING is the targeted criminal for the O section. He manages the Wan Chai area. However, he dare to fight with Hunan Gang in Kowloon for protecting his own interest. CHUNG lets HING escape away for the sake of saving TAI. HING hides himself in Macau. This, he could not lead the robbery aiming at a jewelry shop. He asks CHOW KA CHEUNG to represent him. CHEUNG is also a cop as well as a good friend to CHEUNG. CHEUNG’s wife had already died. He puts his daughter at CHEUNG’s home. CHEUNG even adopts her. CHEUNG controls the robbery over a distance. Episode 1 RIT A, the prosecutor, states that the police could only accuse the gang a few charges after reading the testimonies. They even could not sue the boss, TO MAN GIT, as lack of evidence. She even scolds SIR NG who let CHUNG shot stupidly. CHUNG does not tell them that T AI had fallen asleep. CHUNG convinces GOH to be the witness. TO is eventually being arrested. T AI wants to resign. CHUNG advises T AI to think carefully. Somebody was killed at the Mongkok Station of the Kowloon-Canton Railway. FO is the murderer. FO receives his money and plans to escape. On the way home he meets a woman. He again rapes this woman and leaves his watch. CHUNG gets the clue of FO's whereabouts. CHUNG and SUM search all flats and eventually find FO's flat, SUM bursts in and suppresses FO. |

Episode 2 TAI does not resign. HO invites all colleagues to dinner. UN deliberately arranges a ballroom for the 0 Section cops instead of a common small room. CHUNG and LIN eventually reconcile. TAI works in a department store to market some commodities for helping his girlfriend. LIN goes to CHUNG's home for dinner. W AI is very embarrassed. W AI observes everything. The FOK's family holds a banquet. HO orders his subordinates to protect FOK's house. LIN introduces her husband. JOE to CHUNG. One night, UN receives a call informing her that her car had been stolen. The caller extorts hundred thousand from LIN. LIN asks W AI for help so as to procure enough cash. They eventually get back the car. On the way home, they are stopped by the police. The police arrests them as the police believes that they have crashed a pedestrian to death two hours ago. |

Episode 3 CHUNG investigate thoroughly in regard to LIN's case. He knows two youths, HUNG and LAM who are fond of car racing. They think that CHUNG is a rich guy. RIT A meets uncle FOK at the jockey club. She is interested to become FOK's partner in his law firm. LIN and W AI see JOE at a coffee shop who is with a woman intimately. T AI again works as a part-time wedding-car driver as he hopes that he could get married with GRACE as soon as possible. HUNG and LAM arrange to compete with W AH. HUNG asks LAM to try his best. They hope that they could procure enough money to join the Macau car-racing competition. By the time they reach the dead corner, the spirit of the traffic cop who was crashed to death by LIN appears. CHUNG witnesses the situation. |

Episode 1 FAI testifies against WING who smuggled cigarette. Therefore, FAI is set free. He then escapes away to Canada. The cops question WING. PING becomes the scapegoat for WING's sake. WING is bailed out with two million dollars. WING is eventually set free. He is not bound by law. PING and his family members are murdered. They suspect WING. KWAI orders CHUNG to escort F AI back to Hong Kong from Canada. CHUNG takes this chance for honeymoon with his wife, LIN. WAI welcomes CHUNG at the airport. LIN flies to New York for business. WING sends SZE and A to kill FAI. CHUNG shoots SZE. CHUNG then handcuffs FAI. CHUNG prepares to take F AI to the airport. Unexpectedly, A shoots F AI to death. CHUNG is shocked. |

Episode 2 A site worker discovers a skull. The coroner proves that skull belonged to a middle-age woman. The police believes that WING is related. They then fax a photo with an eight years old girl to WAI for investigation. The F.B.I. complains CHUNG. CHUNG is forced to stop investigation. However, CHUNG ignores this order. He applies for annual leave and flies to Toronto. He continues to investigate. The reporter finds out that WING got married in 1978 with a woman named, NGOR. They have a daughter, PING, who is now eight years old. WING sends subordinate to assault the reporter. CHUNG meets PING and KEE. They are reluctant to reveal their identities. Meanwhile, A appears. A shoots PING to death. Soon the immigration department finds out that KEE is actually PING. PING is sent back to Hong Kong to testify at court. CHUNG stayed in Canada as his wife died in a car accident. He backs to Hong Kong after he finished her funeral rites. |

Episode 3 They immediately send KEE to the police station to testify. The cop then sends her to the hotel. TAO and SUN accompany KEE to take some Japanese food. They meet WING. KEE claims that WING is the one who murdered her mother. WING knew that he was wrong. He leaves sadly. KEE is the witness at court. WING disappears. He takes the time to find an airplane to escape away. WAI (WING's current wife) goes to the police station and claims that her husband is being kidnapped. The kidnapper extorts one million from her. The next day WAI will flee to Taiwan with her son and lover. LUNG finds KAI in the open camp. KAI points out that KEE is not PING. KEE begs CHUNG to keep the secret so that she could testify against WING at court. |
