Series synopsis
Batman is an American action & adventure animation drama mystery television series that premiered on ABC on January 12, 1966. It ended on March 14, 1968. It was created by William Dozier, Lorenzo Semple Jr.. It stars Adam West, Burt Ward, Yvonne Craig and Neil Hamilton.
Wealthy entrepreneur Bruce Wayne and his ward Dick Grayson lead a double life: they are actually crime fighting duo Batman and Robin. A secret Batpole in the Wayne mansion leads to the Batcave, where Police Commissioner Gordon often calls with the latest emergency threatening Gotham City. Premise

Straight from the Vault - Batgirl Promotional Short Actress Yvonne Craig was featured in a promotional short, which was shown to ABC executives in order to not only add Batgirl to the cast, but ensure a third season for the television series. The villain in this presentation was Tim Herbert as The Killer Moth, although the villian was never used on the series. This film was never shown on television, however it is featured on numerous video tapes documenting the show. |
