Angels with Broken Wings, also known as 翼の折れた天使たち is a Japanese drama television series that premiered on Fuji TV on February 27, 2006. It ended on March 19, 2007.
A miniseries starring famous actresses, based on the short story collection "Tsubasa no Oreta Tenshitachi" by the author Yoshi. This dark drama has a different story for each episode, as the name of the series "Angels With Broken Wings" hints, the common theme is women who have lost their way in life. The series touches subjects like prostitution, peer pressure, gambling, theft and isolation.

Actress Nao's father is a doll maker and wants her to inherit his business. However, Nao doesn't want to be making dolls for the rest of her life and ends up getting kicked out of the house and fleeing to Tokyo. This was two years ago. In Tokyo, Nao gets swindled by someone calling himself a talent scout and keeps failing at auditions. She soon falls into debt and tries to survive by working part time at a night club and holding other extra jobs. Nao wants to be an actress, but becomes very impatient and makes a big error. It is something that even her boyfriend Riku must never know. Then one day, the one person in her whole family who approves of Nao's goal of becoming an actress suddenly appears in Tokyo: her grandfather. Time Travel Nakagawa Kana has worked hard all her life to become a successful competitive swimmer. Under her father's pressure, she is aiming to become a representative at the next big swimming competition for her school. Life is much like a swimming race, every second counts, and to Kana doing anything else other than being the best is pointless. One day, she gets caught in one of her shoplifting acts – something she does only for the thrill rather than for the product – by her childhood friend, Daisuke.
