A sum of drug money triggers a battle of wits between Kwong Yeung and Ko Chi, a detective and a thief. Yeung gradually discovers the true identity of Chi is a mob chief who uses the restaurant business to cover his illegal activities. Despite all efforts, Yeung lacks sufficient evidence to support allegations against Chi. Nevertheless, Yeung keeps a close eye on Chi and believes in the ultimate triumph of good over evil.
Premise

YUNG returns home to look for MARBLE but she only finds her mother-in-law MOK WAI LAN. YUNG wants to fight for the custody of MARBLE but KIT accuses her for drug abuse. YUNG realizes that the “vitamin pills” that KIT has been giving her for a long time is actually psychiatric drugs. CHIT’s good friend FAN KWOK HIN is a shareholder of a gambling cruise and he helps CHIT to spend the illicit money. CHIT discovers that HO is staying on the cruise from CCTV. YEUNG’s wife HONG MEI LEI misconceives that he has got promoted and she purchases a luxurious villa at Stanley. YEUNG is transferred to the Crimes Unit. He carries out investigation on the death of his mentor, sergeant LAU YUE CHIU, with his subordinate SHEUNG MO and they discover some new hints. YUNG decides not to ask for money from KIT and the restaurant manager PINKY suggests her to stay in the restaurant’s attic temporarily. YEUNG tries to obtain evidence from a suspect TAM BUN.… ...

TSEUNG shoot BUN to alert him and helps him to leave the scene. YEUNG smells the special perfume of TSEUNG at the scene and discovers that she is an expert in guns. BUN meets security supervisor KONG KIU at the supermarket. KIU asks him to sell his limited edition cartoon figure to her but BUN rejects her. While fighting with each other, the figure is damaged accidentally. In order to thank CHIT, YUNG voluntarily helps him to tidy up his house. MEI LEI helps YUNG to search for a new job. TSEUNG meets SIN’s wife LUK TING HUNG on the street and YEUNG discovers that SIN is a professional driver. BUN returns a fake cartoon figure to KIU but KIU discovers it. BUN tries to steal KIU’s cartoon figure at her home. He accidentally discovers that YEUNG is carrying out investigation on TSEUNG and SIN. LEI finds YUNG in her pajamas at CHIT’s restaurant and she suspects that YUNG is dating with CHIT.… ...
