Series synopsis
Witch, also known as Daayan is a animation drama sci-fi & fantasy television series that premiered on &TV on December 15, 2018. It ended on January 12, 2020. It was created by Ekta Kapoor. It stars Prabhat Bhattacharya, Aman Gandhi, Ekta Saraiya and Mohit Malhotra.
In a world where only witches can cast magic, they must avoid being seen by ordinary people while casting. While Coco does her chores, she daydreams of becoming a witch. When a young witch named Qifrey visits her village, Coco uncovers the “absolute secret,” becomes Qifrey’s apprentice, and begins her studies. This is the story of children who encounter despair, yet reach out toward hope.
Premise

Episode 1 While traveling to Ujjain with her friends, Jhanvi is startled by a beautiful girl who asks her for her book titled 'How to recognize a witch'. A rational girl by heart, Jhanvi is surprised at having a nightmare about falling into a pit full of lizards. Later, Jhanvi is shocked to learn her identity as Kundani Roy. Akarsh Chaudhry, the owner of Hotel Fort Ujjain, is stunned to see Jhanvi. The same night, Shryance is kidnapped by a witch. Elsewhere, Jhanvi is unaware of a lizard following her. |

Episode 2 Jhanvi tells Shreyansh’s mother he was carried away by a witch. Nobody believes her. Prithvi, her cousin thinks she is hallucinating due to drug abuse. Vijayesh, her uncle says they were visited by a witch and he believes Jhanvi’s story. Veer on his way to the station is attacked by lizards. Veer returns with Shreyansh and says he found him in a well. He has a tattooed moving lizard on his back. Jhanvi sees Veer’s corpse in the jungle. |

Episode 3 After seeing Veer convert into a witch, Jhanvi falls off the cliff and hangs on the tree. The witch sees the lizards and disappears, while Akarsh rescues Jhanvi. Later, Jhanvi finds a barely alive Veer in the jungle. Prithvi blames Veer for the happenings at their house. Vikram, Jhanvi’s cousin, takes them to his hotel to see Kundini Roy’s shooting who is a complete lookalike of Jhanvi. Akarsh introduces Chandrika, the girl from the train, as his restoration expert. |
