Series synopsis
Disgaea, also known as 魔界戦記ディスガイア is a Japanese animation sci-fi & fantasy comedy television series that premiered on CBC on April 4, 2006. It ended on May 16, 2009. It stars Kaori Mizuhashi, Tomoe Hanba, Yuuko Sasamoto and Junji Majima.
Laharl, the demon prince of the Netherworld and son of the late Lord Krichevskoy, is awakened by Flonne, the sugary-sweet angel-in-training sent to assassinate the overlord. Etna, the Prinnies, and Flonne, join the selfish, disgruntled, and perpetually hungry Laharl as he treks the deepest, darkest realms to become king of the cursed land.
Premise

The Sleeping Prince in the Garbage Dump Angel Trainee Flonne is sent to the Netherworld to assassinate the Overlord, King Krichevskoy. Flonne spends two years searching for Krichevskoy, and eventually wakes his son, Prince Laharl, who doesn't beleive in love. After learning his father has died, Laharl sets out to claim his rightful title of Overlord as heir to the throne, and Flonne decides that she will stay in the netherworld even though her target is already dead to learn the true nature of demons... and possibly carry out the mission with a new target. |
