Denton’s sights shift towards the future and he enlists Pam’s expertise in order to secure his next prize. David and Dhanny continue their dangerous exploration of her darker side and while the cat’s away, the mice are behaving like rats during the time of convergence.

Jakes’ subordination drives a wedge between Denton and Esme and it is Pam who must again try to save the day. Dhanny and David explore their relationship, which could well change forever. To prove he is still young enough to party with the best, Kenny makes a drastic move.

Jakes is playing a dangerous game as he lets playing and winning at the tournament distract him from the deal struck with Denton: to lose Kings money. Dhanny and David’s growing bond catches Esme’s eye and she’s intrigued. Having left his wife to go to Durban, Ben focuses on having a good time while she’s away, worrying Kenny.

Denton asks Esme to put him in the poker game and is subsequently allowed to join, which results in him and Jakes going head to head. Dhanny learns that David doesn't completely trust her and consequently, questions their partnership. AJ relentlessly tries to find out what the Convergence is.

Kings sends a representative from management to attend the QOH poker tournament. Thandi and Jakes has their first spat after becoming a couple. David uses Dhanny’s assets to do some spying.

The pressure to win the tournament causes Jakes to rethink his actions - especially when dark forces come into play. Esme finds out the hard way that the grass is not always greener on the other side. David takes his relationship with Dhanny to a new level and Talullah does the same with Ben.

Esme takes centre stage while Jakes considers taking a back seat. Busi gives David a scare and Kenny takes the fight to the ‘streets.

Denton pays Kings a visit, this time to extend an invitation to the brothers. Although Pam’s business with Kings is closed there is a matter she’d like to discuss with Busi in private.

Busi heads off a potential PR mess for Kings before it blows up. But, while the Kings put out fires, Denton is not thwarted, as his second plan is seamlessly in motion.

Denton makes a deal with Jakes for Chastity’s freedom, but there’s a twist. Thandi finds the ideal hiding place for Chastity and Jakes reminds her they’re dealing with dangerous people.

With Denton sending one of his crony's into the casino, time is running out for Chastity. Esme hasn’t pitched for her shift and the consequences are disastrous.

Chastity shares some insight about her work with Thandi and gives her advice on using her sexuality. This offers the two women a bonding experience which may help Chastity to stay out of trouble. Talullah finally gets her hands on the long-awaited magazine article, but it is not exactly what she hoped for.

Thandi needs to hide from Jakes the fact that Chastity is missing. Esme is asked by Busi to fill in as pitboss over Christmas but is being pulled in different directions by Dhanny and AJ. Paul offers to prepare a special dinner for Analine and the family. Denton is spotted in Kings Casino, once again.

Esme introduces a secret Santa project only to get bitten badly by it. Talullah comes up with a wicked plan and Kenny warns her to learn from others mistakes but Talullah refuses to listen.

Jakes is in a desperate fix and needs to convince Thandi to help him in spite of the fact that she no longer wants anything to do with him.

Kenny warns Esme about Dhanny; and Paul and David find common ground. AJ surprises Esme and Analine forms a special bond with a baby. Denton makes his evil plan known to Jakes. There are trying times ahead for Chastity (played by Boity Thulo).

Paul and David have a firm suspect but no way to prove their suspicions. Busi wants to call a press conference, but David suggests a different strategy that may make more sense in the long run.

When Paul finds an overdosed guest in a penthouse he sets out to investigate the matter, not knowing the disaster it can lead to.

David is set on finding the source of the influx of prostitutes, but isn’t allowed free reign to conduct an interrogation. Busi gets Esme to resign from her post as Head of Housekeeping without delay so she can move back on to the floor as a croupier.

Pamela wants to proceed with the next phase of their plan but Denton is cautious. Vikash sees through Esme’s front of not wanting to work on the floor and in his meeting with Busi he recommends Esme as a croupier. Talullah, inspired by the magazine questionnaire, visits a children’s home and makes wild offers to help out.

David wants the “Green File” report by the end of the day. Denton and Pam send their army of high-end prostitutes into King’s. Busi offers Esme an opportunity to prove herself on the casino floor, and she cannot help but jump at the opportunity.

Paul wants to know if he has David’s support, but David keeps him guessing. When he asks Busi for the Henshaw report she tells him off and Paul asks David for advice.

During the background check interview Pam gives Jakes a message from Denton: do not contact him directly. Busi announces that one-on-one staff interviews will be conducted as part of the background check process, sending Dhanny and Esme into a panic.

Pam gives Busi the results of the first checks she’s done and Esme is flagged for attention. Thandi says goodbye to Mhambi in a beautiful way and David swears revenge on Denton.

David’s investigation is derailed by Busi’s confession that she’s sleeping with Jakes. Thandi is devastated by the news. Esme does a thorough job of organising Mhambi’s memorial; but her efforts are not appreciated.

David interrogates Jakes, who’s playing a dangerous game. Vikash sets a trap at David’s insistence and tests the loyalty of the Kings Casino staff. Esme rallies the staff, but Kenny isn’t buying it. Listless Talullah is lounging around at the hotel, but perks up when the first signs of her newfound fortune appear.

With Mhambi’s death confirmed, David has Denton - and his spies - in his sights. Esme loses her cool when everyone continues to treat her with kid gloves whenever Ben comes up. Vikash makes a decision about signing the petition against Dhanny, while Thandi intervenes with AJ.

Thandi steals Dhanny’s whale list and hands it over to Jakes, who makes a massive play. Talullah opens up to Kenny about her past. Ben finds an apartment - but Talullah has reservations. Denton uses Paul’s vulnerability to his benefit, leaving the latter with a difficult decision to make.

Busi asks Mhambi to look into Jake’s sudden windfall. Moby reveals his distrust of Jakes, who must pull something out of the bag to maintain his position of power. Analine receives some distressing news about Ben and Talullah. Paul’s secrets start to strain his relationship with Analine.

Jakes sells his expensive car and fancy watch to put down roots. David is laying a trap for Busi and Jakes - but Dhanny can’t figure out why. Ben asks Talullah to stay away from Kenny’s alcohol-fuelled parties, leading to a row between the flatmates.

Dhanny finds an unlikely ally in her battle against Jakes and plants a seed of doubt in Thandi’s mind. Ben is fed up with Kenny’s hard-partying ways, leading to a flatmate bust-up.

Jakes and Busi fight over Moby, who’s on his way home after his Uncle cut him off. Jakes has other ideas though, and hustles to keep his whale at Kings.

Dhanny frantically searches for David, while Thandi tries to get her job back from Jakes. Things between Ben and Talullah boil over. Paul’s behaviour has Analine suspicious, so he takes romantic steps to ease her mind.

Jakes is tired of babysitting Moby and tries to palm him off on Dhanny, with disastrous consequences. Ben takes Talullah to the doctor, but Kenny won’t let him off the hook for claiming she was crying wolf.

Moby (Jaques De Silva) mistakes Dhanny for Jakes’ assistant, which causes friction. Busi intervenes and David offers Dhanny the chance to form an unholy alliance.

Moby’s (Jaques De Silva) list of demands is driving Dhanny crazy, but she refuses Jakes’ help because she thinks he’s trying to sabotage him. Talullah is playing housewife, but Ben isn’t playing along. Analine isn’t coping with her restrictive living conditions, but can Paul do anything about it?

Paul is furious that Jakes was hired without his approval - but Busi puts him in his place. The HOD’s mutiny when they get new responsibilities - but no more money. The flat mate battle continues because Ben’s using Kenny’s lounge as a bedroom. Analine sneaks into David’s house for some ‘me time’.

Paul seeks comfort from Analine, but her reaction catches him by surprise. Busi pushes forward with plans for retrenchments - but who will be leaving? Talullah plays the martyr with Ben, drawing him closer to her. Jakes plays his trump card with Busi, leaving Dhanny scrambling for excuses.

The hate mail Busi received has her riled up, and there’s no stopping her from initiating a witch hunt. Talullah works even harder than before to drive the wedge between Ben and his family. Dhanny thinks she has solved her ‘Jakes problem’ - but is she going to be rid of him so easily?

Analine’s conscience gets the better of her over the engagement party, but is the relationship between the family and Ben & Talullah too far gone? Dhanny confronts Jakes, but he swiftly turns the tables.

David drops a financial bombshell on Busi, forcing her to make tough decisions. The engagement party goes ahead, and tensions rise. Mhambi digs a little deeper into Jakes’ history and has some interesting news for Dhanny and Ravi - and there are repercussions.
