The House at Christianshavn

Der er oprør i Amagergade på Christianshavn. Der går rygter om, at gaden skal rives ned for at give plads for et stort elegant Christianhavnscenter med et "Hilarious Holyday" Hotel som et prangende midtpunkt. Den pengegriske, kyniske byggematador Hallandsen (Poul Bundgaard), er med amerikansk kapital i ryggen ved at opkøbe alle ejendommene, for at overtage hele kvarteret. Det eneste der mangler er boligministerens godkendelse. Han har allerede opkøbt det meste af kvarteret. Han mangler kun Amagergade 7 og 9, som ejes af den gamle Fru Lorentzen. Hun er meget syg, så Hallandsen venter kun på, at hun afgår ved døden. Hallandsen har dog gjort regning uden vært. Nationalmuseet er kommet undervejs med, at netop i disse to numre er bevaringsværdige, og sender kunsthistorikeren Alfred Krabbe (Bjørn Watt Boolsen) ud for at undersøge sagen. Han arbejder nu på at husene i Amagergade fredes. Mens alt dette står på, sker der store og små begivenheder hos familierne i Huset.

The whole house is on its head as a new young couple is moving in.

Tue inherits a piano and Olsen is selling the family piano because his son would rather play the electric guitar.

Tue and Rikke overslept and Rikke panics as she has to get to work quickly, only to realise that it's Saturday. The couple instead decides to go for a picnic in the woods. Karla is getting a visit from her new boyfriend Egon, whom she hasn't told about her child yet. Later that day, the fire safety inspector shows up in the house following a report of someone living in the attic apartment, which is in violation of the fire regulations.

The peace in the attic apartment is disrupted when Tue and Rikke get into a fight. Peace is restored thanks to the calm and composed owner of Rottehullet, Emma.

Mrs. Olsen is getting her drivers license, much to the dismay of her husband. Things get worse when Olsen learns that his wife has failed the driving test three times and that she is attracted to the driving instructor.

Alarming headlines in the newspapers scares the people of the house and Olsen takes the initiate and forms a neighbourhood watch.

The house is without water much to the dismay of the tenant. While the men find a new water supply at Rottehullet, the city has a plan to solve the water crisis.

Olsen decides to move to the country side when he finds out that the house at Christianshavn needs more then just a loving hand from carpenters and masons.

Clausen never says no to animals, no matter what animal. This is how he ends up with a raccoon of questionable origins.

Rottehullet is under new management and has many new customers, but what about the regulars?

Mrs. Olsen has gotten interested in astrology and alternative healing, and now she is trying to convince Mr. Olsen that fruit and salad is better than meatballs.

The last tenant in Nr. 17 right down the street from the house is moving, but the building soon gets occupied by squatters.

The customs department pay a visit to Rottehullet, forcing the owner Emma, to increase the price of beer and demand cash payment. This greatly upsets her regulars, who decide that it would be cheaper, if they brew their own beer and spirits.

The flu epidemic has hit the house and the women are all sick, but there is no time to rest, someone has to take care of the men, who themselves begin to believe, that they to are sick. It's after all easier, than having to help around the house.

Olsen and Clausen get mad a Egon after he reveals the result of last night football match. Peace is restored when the ladies of the house go on a trip to Sweden without the men. After not being home on the agreed time, the men gather together at Rottehullet to share their worries.

Larsen, thanks to the help of Mr. Olsen and Mrs. Olsen, Clausen, and Tue, narrowly avoids being arrested after a failed attempt of breaking into a safe at an insurance company. To pay them back for their help, he promises to turn over a new leaf, but that may be easier said than done.

The tenants of the house at Christianshavn form a tenants' association with Mr. Olsen as chairman.

Mrs. Olsen has three cancellation tickets on hand for Mallorca and she wants the other women of the house to join her, but how do the men feel about their wives going on holiday without them?

A new tenant is moving in, it's the photographer Bo, who knows how to make people work for him.

Karla has fallen for her graphology teacher and is creating uproar in the whole house when she starts analyzing everyone's personality from their handwriting.

Mr. Olsen, Larsen, and Emma have received their annual tax statements and are feeling resentment towards the government. Olsen comes up with a plan on how to never pay taxes again, but that is easier said than done, while Larsen reconsiders his honest and law abiding life.

Karla is home alone when a peeper looks through the letter slot. In response, the men decide to form a neighbourhood watch.

Eva is one of Olsen's customers, but she has no place to live. Olsen tries to get her in with one of the tenants of the house, he even tries Bo who is always ready to help a woman, but his girlfriend says no. Eva ends up spending the night in Olsen's moving van.

The buildings supervisor Meyer has after many years of fateful service, decided that the time has come to enjoy his retirement.

Karla and Egon are hosting Egon's boss for dinner. The hope is that he will be so impressed with the dinner, that Egon will be promoted to senior assistant and thus elevated into the illustrious 28th. pay grade.

There has been theft at a watchmaker and the police suspects Larsen, who has an alibi, but the only witness proves hard to find. While being shadowed by the police, Larsen comes up with a traditional Larsen way of create a new and perfect alibi.

Meyer is acting like a cock doing mating season. This leads to a lengthy discussion about birdsong between the tenants of the house. Clausen suggest that they go on a bird watching trip. Olsen takes the role as chairman of planning, Meyer signs up to be the samaritan, and Egon will provide the liquid refreshments.

Egon, being very interested in international relations, is studying French and ends up falling in love with his teacher, or maybe the teacher made him interested in those relations to begin with. After having a fight, Karla kicks him out and he ends up staying with Emma in the backroom at Rottehullet.

Clausen, being an old scout, has received the honour of substituting for the local scouts troop leader and Olsen has won a tent in the scouts' lottery. The two set off to test out the tent and their skills on the embankment, well laden with drinks.

Cockroaches have invaded the house at Christianshavn.

Olsen comes home from the office party drunk and has to be carried up the stairs. The next day, Mrs. Olsen finds lipstick on the collar of her husband's shirt, but being mature adults, Mrs. Olsen knows that it's nothing serious and Mr. Olsen tells everyone, that he believes in marriage equality. But this is easier said than done.

Olsen unwittingly gets involved in a major case of art theft.

After a wild night of partying and drinking, in the midst of the worst handover of their lives, the residents of the house at Christianshavn decide to abstain from alcohol.

Bo falls hard and passionately for a beautiful and intellectual woman named Mette. Before he knows it, he has replaced 70's rock with classical music, partying with long walks, lazy living with exercise, and his apartment even gets curtains.

Bo is getting married and is moving out of the apartment in the attic. He leaves behind unpaid bills for beer, food, and other items. Good thing that his friends are more than willing to pay on his behalf. Olsen, Clausen, and Egon all fight over what to do with the newly available space.

The apartment in the attic gets a new tenant, the widow Mrs. Hammerstedt.

Mr. Olsen is turning 50 and is feeling a bit depressed. Everyone decides to throw him a birthday party over in Rottehullet.

Gambling debt is a matter of honour, and unfortunately for Mrs. Hammerstedt, her deceased spouse managed to accrue a lot of it. The house rallies behind her and hatch a plan for how she can get the money back.

Egon buys a Citroên 1939 using the money he and Karla had saved up, but Karla already bought a new washing machine for the money. To make matters worse, the car isn't exactly in pristine condition, despite the dealer proving Egon with roadworthiness certificate.

The widow Mrs. Hammerstedt is choosing the results on her football betting ticket by spinning a picture frame of her deceased spouse, but the picture frame doesn't quiet agree with her own predictions. Later in the week, when she needs money, she sells half of the betting ticket to Karla, who is convinced that they are going to win big and Mrs. Hammerstedt can't wait to spend their winning.
